After a request from KCDOA, Detention Bureau managers have agreed to move the shift bid location from Norris Road to the Lerdo Blue Room. The shift bid is still scheduled to occur next Tuesday April 19th at 0800 hours. KCDOA requested the move in an effort to allow all Detention Deputies (especially those on duty during the bid process) an opportunity view and select available shifts first hand. It is also our hope that this will speed up the bid process as officers will be able to more quickly select an available shift on-site instead of having someone else read off their prioritized shift bid selections in their absence. Because the Blue Room is a smaller venue, it is expected that people will only be allowed in to the room in rotating groups of 50.
